Definition of the task

Our client is from Australia and is a world-renowned parts inspection expert. They are committed to ensuring the accuracy of the parts’ dimensions through visual inspection instruments. They use high-precision industrial cameras to simulate human vision, collect product images, and use image processing algorithms to quickly and accurately detect scratches, deformations, stains, oxidation, cracks, and dents on the surface of automotive parts.

In view of the high automation and strict accuracy requirements of the visual inspection process, our engineers recommended a timing belt conveyors system to the customer, equipped with a servo motor to ensure that the tooling parts move forward 300 mm accurately every 5 seconds. In addition, the customer made clear requirements for the synchronous wheel, requiring the same. The difference between the width of the step wheel and the timing belting is controlled within ±1 cm, and the two are flush to avoid errors during the test.

Our engineers optimized the design and worked with suppliers to make adjustments. Due to the different shapes of the parts, in order to ensure the stability of the parts during the conveying process, it is necessary to add attachments(workpieces) to the conveying systems. The customer provided attachments(workpieces) and sent them to our company for installation and testing. After more than 12 hours of continuous operation tests, the customer also appointed the person in charge of its Chinese branch to conduct on-site acceptance.
